Considering that the electro magnet induction furnace charges the metal while melting, a stirring action initiates within the molten metal. The stirring furthermore causes the melted metal to rise upwards and gather in the center.
The extent and degree of the stirring action is influenced by the frequency and power along with the shape and size of the coil. However, keep in mind that extensive stirring can cause gas pickups and the oxidization of the stainless steel, causing it to lose its properties.
